RING Announces ISO 9001 Certification


Combining A Path to Success for the Disabled and Cost Effective Quality Services for Local Business


Gainesville, GA – May 4, 2011. Rehabilitation Industries of Northeast Georgia (RING) announced today that the company has received ISO 9001:2008 recertification. The ISO 9001 series of standards was written to provide guidelines to assist organizations implement and operate quality management systems. The current series of standards are internationally accepted and provide a consistent basis for understanding requirements relating to product and service quality.

“RING" operations have been improved by implementing and following additional quality processes we had lacked. We worked with IMSM consultants (www.imsm.com) to assess our organization and identify required quality procedures and policies. We then were certified for compliance to ISO 9001 and issued our certificate by QAS International,” said David Arsenault, Operations Manager at "RING".

"RING" serves individuals with disabilities by providing them with a path to independence and self-sufficiency through training, support and advocacy. Once trained, individuals are either placed on contract at local businesses or work at the ISO 9001:2008 certified RING facility in Gainesville which provides cost effective business services such as bulk mail processing, assembly, packaging and lite manufacturing.

“Our clients are increasingly quality conscious and expect that we comply to the highest quality products and service standards. We pursued and obtained our ISO 9001 certification to assure our clients of our commitment to quality,” continued Mr. Arsenault.

Rehabilitation Industries of Northeast Georgia ("RING") is a private non-profit organization located in Gainesville, Georgia. Since 1969, RING has served over 7,000 individuals with disabilities while assisting local business with adjusting demands for manual labor and work space. RING provides the space and workforce to complete the most tedious of projects at a much lower cost than hiring a part-time employees.

Ring Is On The Move Again!


In our previous newsletters we have talked about local companies that are part of the "RING" family. We are very proud to welcome ZF industries to our family of supporting companies. Throughout many months of preparation, RING has grown. With the guidance and supportive structure of CI Solutions located in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. "RING" has transformed one of our locations to an upscale warehousing facility. By use of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing implementation and training, we are now warehousing and supporting manufacturing operations for the Gainesville ZF facility.

Our increased fleet size and trained personnel is maintaining deliveries of product utilized by the ZF location throughout the workweek several times per shift. Future expansion of our services to the ZF facility will include larger warehousing areas, adding personnel and up to date training for success.

Worldwide, ZF products make a major contribution to mobility. ZF develops and produces transmissions, steering systems, axles, and chassis components as well as complete systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road machinery. ZF is also an important transmission specialist for special and rail vehicles, marine craft, and helicopters. We are very proud to be part of the ZF operations and look forward to a long-term relationship with them.
